Slough Chess Academy provides the local community with a place where children can learn and improve their chess skills. Our bespoke training programme introduces participants to concepts such as symmetry, space, movement, timing, coordination of resources, opening theory and end game study.

Mat Uramovski, founder and teacher, is an expert chess player with more than twenty years of tournament experience.  He competes at 4NCL for the Fermented Sharks, the Hounslow Chess Club, the Slough Chess Club and the Middlesex County League.  Mat holds a Baccalaureate in Art History, Baccalaureate in Film Production and a Postgraduate Certificate in Online Education.  He also teaches chess at several primary  schools in Langley.

Weekly classes with a qualified chess instructor.  Interaction with other like-minded children.  Preparation for chess tournaments.

Join an existing group or form your own.  We cover areas of Langley, Slough, Burnham, Cippenham, Maidenhead, Colnbrook, Iver, Windsor, Staines-upon-Thames and Egham.

School Clubs
Contact us if you require advice on setting up clubs in schools and communities. We currently run after-school clubs at Langley Hall Primary Academy, Fulmer Infant School and Castleview School.
